As part of our Tough Topics series we will be looking into issues facing LGBTQ+ communities (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual/aromantic, etc.) and POC (people of color) within that community. Join us for a great discussion with Professor James Estrella from Olympic College on the repercussions of events like the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando on the Latino/a/x and LGBTQ+ community. Bring your questions, and be ready for a great discussion. Parents are welcome to attend. Snacks generously provided by the Port Orchard Friends of the Library.

Teen Job Boot Camp

Get in shape for this Summer's job and internship market. Morning workshops will focus on how to find a job, how to build a resume, application tips, how to interview, and employer expectations. We'll have a working lunch (pizza provided) and spend the afternoon getting personalized help on your resume or cover letters and meeting with local employers who are interested in meeting you at our job fair. 

This event is a partnership with Bainbridge Youth Services, Bainbridge High School CTE, City of Bainbridge and Kitsap Regional Library.
