Are you bummed because you have no protective glasses to watch this coming Monday's eclipse? Don't worry, there's still a way to join in this amazing natural phenomenon. NASA has excellent answers to how to watch the eclipse safely. The Planetary Society also created this awesome tutorial on how to watch the eclipse without protective glasses by facing away from the sun. You can click through to their one page handout or scroll down for a video demonstration on how to make and use a pinhole projector.

To become a citizen scientist and help give NASA data about the eclipse, you can help by downloading an app onto your smartphone or tablet and adding your scientific observations

Still have questions? The Seattle Times has a great Ask the Experts column with frequently asked questions here. We hope however you experience the eclipse, you and your family have a great time!
