2017 is shaping up to be as good as 2016 in regard to stellar releases. Here’s what I’m looking forward to, musically speaking, for the next few weeks.

The Life & Songs of Emmylou Harris – An All-Star Concert Celebration

In July of 2015 Emmylou’s friends decided to throw her a party at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. This is the recording of that little shindig.

Gunslinger – Garth Brooks

The anti-Hank Williams took the world by storm in the 90s, selling more recordings than everyone except the Beatles. This is his second studio release after a 13 year hiatus.

Drogas Light – Lupe Fiasco

6th album by the Chicago rapper known for his toe-tapping beats and frank, social commentary.

Tony Bennett Celebrates 90 – Tony Bennett

The soundtrack from the star-studded, September television special celebrating Mr. Bennett’s ninth decade.

Collage – Chainsmokers

American duo crafts lushly layered, audio valentines.

All of the previously mentioned CDs are in the Kitsap Regional Library collection so head on down to your local library branch and get some music.
