Who can get an e-Card number?
Only residents of Kitsap County can apply online at this time. An e-Card allows you to place holds on items and check out downloadable content like eBooks, digital magazines and music.
Who can get a Library card?
An individual is eligible for a Kitsap Regional Library card if that person lives, works, or owns property in Kitsap County. An individual residing outside of the County may receive a card if that person lives in an area of Washington State that supports public library service. Library cards provide access to all of the resources in the library including downloadables, books, DVDs, CDs and more.
How can I get a library card?
Visit one of our nine Kitsap Regional Library locations or the bookmobile. To apply in person you will need current photo ID and proof of your current address.
If I apply for an e-Card now can I get a full library card later?
Yes. Just take your e-Card number into any branch library with current photo ID and proof of your current address and we will give you a library card
I have a library card but I want access to the downloadable content. How do I get an online account?
Your library card number along with your password allows you to access all of our downloable content. You do not need a separate account. Forgot your password?
Can children get a library card?
Yes, minors under the age of 18 can get a card. If not accompanied by a parent/guardian, the card will be mailed to their home. The parent/guardian's name will be entered in the minor's record. Parents/guardians may cancel a minor child's card, but the library must be informed in writing.
Can I obtain a library card at other libraries?
If you have a Kitsap Regional Library card you can obtain a library card from other libraries including:
Jefferson County Library System, King County Library System, North Olympic Library System, Pierce County Library System, Puyallup Public Library, Seattle Public Library, Sno-Isle Regional Library System, Timberland Regional Library
Please take your KRL library card, valid identification and proof of your home address to any of their library locations to get a free library card.
What if I lose my library card?
If your library card is lost or stolen, report it immediately to any branch of the Kitsap Regional Library. You are responsible for all library materials checked-out on your card until you declare the card missing and have a stop placed on your record. If your card has been declared lost or stolen, the card will no longer work with our computer system. If you declare your card missing or destroyed, you can re-apply for a new library card online or visit any branch of Kitsap Regional Library. Please let us know about any changes in your local address or telephone number.
