Library Features
The Sylvan Way Library is Kitsap Regional Library's largest branch. The 35,000 square foot building was completed in 1978 with
public funds after a successful bond election. Features include a collection of over 125,000 books and magazines, a large reference collection, over 40 public computers, meeting
room facilities, a teen center, and microfilm reader printers. The Library's park-like setting includes outdoor areas for reading and picnicking on sunny days.

Book Donations

The Sylvan Way Library welcomes donations of books in good condition, both hard back and paperback volumes. Selected items will be added to the
Library’s collection, others are sold by the East Bremerton Friends of the Library. Proceeds benefit the Library. For quantities of ten books or less please just drop them at the
Check-Out Desk. For larger amounts please contact Ruth Bond, Branch Manager, at 360-415-6727 for an appointment.

Meetings and Social Events
The group meets at 6:30
p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month September through June, in the Sylvan Way Library Staff Room. Ask at the Check-out Desk for directions.
The Friends also get together for social events such as potluck dinners and an annual spring field trip.

The East Bremerton Friends of the Library support the Sylvan Way Library with the funds raised from three book sales a
year, the Sylvan Way Library book sale Kiosk, and the Wishing Well. Money raised goes to support programs, furnishings and equipment at the Sylvan Way Library. The Friends also
supply hospitality for Sylvan Way Library Library events.
Book Sales
Books Sales are held three times a year in the Library's Heninger Meeting Room. For upcoming Friends of the Library book sales, search the Events calendar for

Books are also for sale year-round on the kiosk across from the Check-Out desk.
