Sylvan Way Library is Kitsap Regional Library's largest branch. The 35,000-square-foot building, completed in 1978 with public funds, includes the service center.

Storytimes and Music

Sylvan Way Library currently offers five storytimes:

• Wiggle Worms on 1st Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m., for ages 3 to 6

• Pajama Storytime on 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m., for ages 2 to 8
• Baby Rhyme Time on Wednesdays at 10:00, for infants up to 18 months old
• Toddler Storytime on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., for ages 18 months to 3 years old

• Preschool Storytime on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m., for ages 3 to 5 years old
• Family Storytime on Fridays at 10:30, for ages 18 months to 6 years

For Tweens

Sylvan Way Library currently offers programs for elementary age children, grades k-5:

• Kids Gaming both video and board, 1st Wednesday of the month

• Crafts and Karaoke, 2nd Wednesday of the month

• Extreme Legos, 3rd Wednesday of the month

• Book Club, 4th Wednesday of the month

For Teens

Monthly teen activities include:
• Teen Gaming the second Friday of every month at 3:30 p.m.

• Teen Anime Club the third Friday of the month at 3:30 p.m. 

Book Donations

• Good condition, hardbacks or paperbacks
• Some will go into the collection, others into book sales
• Ten or fewer, leave at the Check-Out Desk

East Bremerton Friends of the Library

• Meetings at 6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month, except July and August, in the Sylvan Way Library Staff Room
