Manchester Library Expansion

The Manchester branch will soon offer more room for everyone to read, meet and collaborate! There will also be a special place for our youngest readers to learn, play and grow. Along with these exciting additions, the update will address critical needs like replacing an aging roof and updating paint, carpeting and shelving.

To support this refresh, the library will close on Saturday, April 2, at 1 p.m., and will remain closed through June 2022. During this time, the book drop will remain open. While the library is closed, we invite you to check out our Port Orchard location at 87 Sidney Ave. Any outstanding holds can be picked up at this location. If you prefer to pick up your holds at another location during this time, please change your pickup location when you place your hold.

Members of the Manchester team are taking this opportunity to “check out” working at other locations. We look forward to seeing you again after our reopening!

Manchester Friends of the Library Clearance Sale: Half-price Books!
Through April 2, get some great bargains and help us clear out the store before we have to pack everything up! Everything in the store is included. Come early for the best selection.

Will the Friends have a plant sale?
Yes! Plants will be available for purchase in the parking lot during the remodel.

Where can I donate books?
The Manchester Friends cannot accept donated books while the building is closed. Please hang onto them until we reopen in June.

The Manchester branch is supported through community partnerships. Port of Manchester owns the land and Manchester Friends of the Library owns and supports the building, while Kitsap Regional Library provides the collections, staff and services.

This expansion has been supported through the fundraising efforts of the Manchester Friends of the Library. Thank you to the generous donors who have brought this dream to life.  You can donate now to help us reach our goal at www.manchesterwa.org.
