Bainbridge Island Reads for Justice and “Let’s Practice Talking about Race”

Please join BI Reads for Justice in the meeting room of the Bainbridge Library for a Living Room Conversation about race in relation to the book STAMPED: Racism, Antiracism, and You by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi. We will break into small groups for discussion using the Living Room Conversations model, which practices communicating across differences while building understanding. Participants speak from their own experience, listening with curiosity and openness to learn from others. More information about the model can be found at www.LivingRoomConversations.org   Reading the book prior to joining the conversation is not a requirement! However, due to space limitations for the small group discussions, registration is required and will be capped at 50 participants.  Please get your copy of STAMPED at the Eagle Harbor Book Company, the Bainbridge Branch of the Kitsap Regional Library or the Bainbridge Island Senior Center. Presented in partnership with Bainbridge Island Reads for Justice, The City of Bainbridge Island, the Bainbridge Branch of the Kitsap Regional Library, the Bainbridge Island Senior Center and many more community supporters.
