Introduction to Chess

Are you interested in learning how to play chess?  Join us for this 7-week beginner-friendly program, with dynamic play at a table and on a life-size board on the ground!  Limited space.  Registration begins January 3, 2022, for participants age 6 to 10.    

Virtual LEGO Builders

With our LEGO bricks, we'll work together to meet two different challenges that tie-in with a great non/fiction book.  Participants will have the opportunity to share their creation.  

Stillwaters Discovery Pack Exploration

Explore and discover nature through fun activities and games using the family friendly, interactive, scientific, hands-on investigation tools in a Stillwaters Environmental Center Discovery Pack at the Village Green Park Pavilion. Check out a Stillwaters Environmental Center Discovery Pack at the Kingston Location, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This program is offered in partnership with the Stillwaters Environmental Center.

Kingston Village Green StoryWalk®

Stroll through the pages of "Explorers of the Wild" by Cale Atkinson, while exploring the park and discovering nature.  This program is offered in partnership with the Stillwaters Environmental Center.  After experiencing the StoryWalk® stop by the Kingston branch to get check out a Stillwaters Environmental Center Discovery Pack filled with family friendly, interactive, scientific, hands-on investigation tools for exploration, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

Kitsap Eco Kids: Salmon StoryWalk®

Families can enjoy Kitsap Salmon Tours independently by strolling through the pages of "Run Salmon Run" by Bobs & Lolo at Dickerson Creek Salmon Haven. Engaging story and interactive elements will help young children understand the salmon lifecycle and the importance of this keystone species.  This program is offered in partnership with the Stormwater Division of Kitsap County Public Works.  The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Outdoor Kids Pumpkin Painting

Come dressed for the weather and encourage your inner artist to paint a little pumpkin or squash to take home. Rain or shine in the lower parking lot of the library. Registration required for supplies.
