Punk Histories

Engage with some of history's lesser-known heroes, pioneers and rebels in this school-aged storytime focusing on forgotten histories. October 26: Lady Pirates! November 23: Black cowboys!

LEGO Club

Join other LEGO lovers once a month for a build challenge. Work with others or create on your own using the library’s LEGOs.

Pumpkin Painting

Paint and decorate a little pumpkin to take home. A little pumpkin will be provided, but feel free to bring one of your own! Wear something that can get messy. Space is limited to first 25 participants.

Spooky Stories

Visit the library after hours to hear some gently spooky stories and songs with local author Ash Van Otterloo. Costumes welcome! In partnership with Ballast Book Company. Adults and teens are welcome to arrive later for Tales of Terror from 7-8pm.

Read to a Dog

Choose a story to share with a dog and practice reading. This event is first come, first served, every 4th Wednesday of the month. In partnership with Therapy Dogs International Kitsap. 

Oktoberfest

Fall-themed activities, crafts and treats for the whole family at Manchester's qa'qad Stormwater Park.  This event is offered in partnership with the Manchester Community Association.  

qa'qad Stormwater Park StoryWalk®

Stroll through the pages of a book in Manchester's qa'qad Stormwater Park.  Pick up a related activity bag during the Manchester branch's open hours.  This program is offered in partnership with the Stormwater Division of Kitsap County Public Works, and with the support of the Friends of Manchester Library.   The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.  

Family Heritage Storytime

October is National Family Heritage Month! Bring your children for an inclusive Family Heritage Night. We will have a short Storytime followed by creating a special heritage tree that fits all kinds of families. This event is intended for all ages, but our youngest patrons may need some extra help putting together their heritage tree.
