In a hands-on workshop, kids will be introduced to concepts of nutrition and healthy food choices. We will focus on individual nutrition and how to choose a variety of foods that provide necessary nutrients, and begin to touch on the idea of sustainability in decisions we make about what we eat. Participants will investigate a worm bin, gaining first-hand knowledge of a composting system and the decomposers that power it! In partnership with the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group, intended for ages 7-11.
