StoryWalk in Evergreen Park

Follow Daniel through his local park as its wildlife creatures teach him about poetry in "Daniel Finds a Poem", written and illustrated by Micha Archer. This program is offered in partnership with the Bremerton Parks & Recreation.   The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

Summer Prize Pick-Up Party

Celebrate your summer learning and reading accomplishments at the Port Orchard branch Summer Prize Pick-Up Party! Enjoy a Kona shaved ice cone (while supplies last) and collect your 10, 50, 100-hour reading prizes. If you are unable to attend the celebration, drop by the branch during open hours anytime in August to pick up your reading prizes. 

Grow Your Own Book Workshop

Paper, staples, thread, and glue! Come and explore several ways to make your own book from scratch using simple binding techniques, or just use our materials to continue working an already created book. Maybe even have your book displayed at the library. Basic materials will be provided.

Rain Garden Workshop

Want to participate in the gardening theme, but you don't have a green thumb? Learn how to create a Rain Garden with native plants at our all ages workshop. Presented in partnership with Kitsap Conservation District. 

Discovery Play Day: Low Tide Beach Walk

Who’s crawling on the beach rocks? Meet at the Silverdale Waterfront Picnic Shelter for storytime before we head down to explore our very own waterfront beach ecosystem with the help of WSU Extension Beach Naturalists. Wear beach walking shoes or boots, and don't forget your sunscreen! Discovery Play Days are presented in partnership with the Clear Creek Trail Task Force. Please RSVP for a 30min. time-slot, a 1:4 ratio of adult to children is recommended.    

Kid's Zone at Port Gamble Summer Faire

Join us in Port Gamble at their annual Summer Faire to enjoy fun outdoor activities for young fair-goers. 

Vegetable Petting Zoo

Stop by our interactive storytime to let kids discover some unique fruits and vegetables. 

Dog Days of Summer

Join us for an outdoor storytime and kid's activity day to celebrate our canine companions. Stuffed animals and well-behaved dogs on leashes are encouraged to join as well! Dog owners are welcome to stop by the library during open hours for special pupsicle treats. 

Encanto Outdoor Movie Night

Join us in the field across 33rd for an outdoor showing of Encanto on our big screen! Bring a blanket, snacks, drinks and chairs and join us for this wonderful family film! Summer Learning prizes will be available. 

STEAM and Snacks

Come for the free snacks, then stay to explore a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) activity with new friends and old. Snacks for youth 0-18, courtesy of generous partners.
