A New Way to Track Library Events: My Events

It just got a lot easier to track and print events on our website. Now you can create a list of upcoming events and easily save them to a PDF or print them out. My Events is a new feature that allows you to organize and track the events you plan to attend in the future and reference previous programs you attended ... just by logging into your library account!

Print Personalized Upcoming Event Lists

To print events, go to KRL.org/Events., opens a new window Using the filters on the left side, choose the events you'd like to save by filtering by desired date, location, attendee type, event type, program, and language. After the list is filtered according to your preferences, select "Options" then "Save to PDF."

This will generate a PDF that you can save for reference, or print out for your convenience. Once the file is downloaded, simply adjust your print and layout settings from the print menu, then print!

My Events: Saving and Tracking Events in Your Library Account

Add events to My Events by registering and joining waitlists for upcoming programs and events at KRL.org/events, opens a new window. Use the filters on the left side of the screen to filter events by desired date, location, audience, event type, program, and language. If registration isn't required, or you're not sure if you'll attend, mark events as "Interested" by clicking on the star beside the event—this will save the event to your events for your reference.

Click the drop-down beside the star to either go to all of your events or to remove the event from My Events.

Access My Events by clicking the blue "Login/My Account" button on the upper right side of the KRL.org home page. Select "My Events" from the drop-down menu. If not logged into your library account, you will be prompted to do so.

Viewing Upcoming or Past Events

My Events will display Past events and upcoming events in four categories:

  • Registered: You've successfully registered
  • On waitlist: You are on the waitlist
  • Canceled: Events that have been canceled
  • Interested: Events that you've starred as "Interested"

A badge will display after the event title for events currently in progress or events that have been canceled. When viewing Past events, you can view both events you attended, as well as those for which you were waitlisted.

To cancel your event registration or remove yourself from a waitlist, click the status to open the drop-down menu and click "Cancel registration" or "Remove from waitlist."

To add the event to your own calendar, click the status to open the drop-down menu and choose from one of the following "Add to Calendar" options:

  • Apple and Outlook (ICS)
  • Google Calendar
  • Outlook.com

Removing Past Events

You can remove events from your account that have already taken place. The "Remove event" option is displayed in the event actions drop-down. You will be asked to confirm the selection before the event is removed.

If you remove an event series that still has upcoming events, those upcoming events will display until the event has ended.

Events in a Series

If an event requires you to register for all events in a series, you will see an "Also registered for" heading displayed on each event in the series. Up to three events will display for the upcoming series events, with the next upcoming event displaying first. Select "View all dates" to see all upcoming events in the series.
