Tough Topics: Love Your Body

 Part of our Tough Topics series for teens, body positivity is our goal during this evening of activities and information. From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. we will be checking out advertisements and talking back to them about their messaging, drawing, writing and creating to celebrate who we are as human beings. At 6 p.m. we welcome a guest speaker to discuss body image and eating disorders as we recognize National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Come out prepared to celebrate you and learn about eating disorders and their impact on our community.

Tough Topics: Race & Racism

A part of our Tough Topics series for teens and young adults, please join us for a discussion on race and racism led by Peggi Erickson of the Kitsap County Council for Human Rights. Bring your questions and be ready for discussion. Families are also welcome to attend this community discussion.

Love comics? Ever wanted to create your own? We will be exploring the world of comics from designing your characters on paper to online tools for drawing and publishing your stories. All artistic ability levels are welcome. Everyone can create, and even stick figure comics deserve a chance.
