Drawn to Comics

Join us for an intermediate drawing class for kids in grades 3-5. Kids will learn how to draw proportional characters and create their own superhero comic or manga! Papers, pencils and inspiration will be provided. 

Idita-Read Challenge

Track your progress through the Iditarod, from Anchorage to Nome, and take your sled dog through the course at participating branches with each chapter you read. All kids are welcome to participate in the reading challenge, with prizes awaiting those who make it all the way to Nome!

Builders' Club

Build up and take down structures using building materials of your choice, from LEGO to wooden blocks. All materials will be provided by the library. We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month!

Read to a Dog

Come practice your reading skills and gain confidence reading out loud to friendly therapy dogs, every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month!

Self Defense for Kids

We will be learning about "stranger danger" and how to safely remove ourselves from dangerous situations. Practice self defense in a safe environment with instructors. In partnership with Kitsap Martial Arts. 

Brighten Up Your Winter--with Art!

Use the library's paints, paper and tissue to create a picture that makes you smile. No experience necessary. Wear something that can get messy.

Galentine Tea

Celebrate female accomplishment by drinking tea, making buttons and decorating cookies with faces of great women in STEM and history.

Take and Make: Heart Art

Pick up a kit containing everything you need to make your heart art. While supplies last.
