Engage with cultural objects from the Burke Museum and learn about traditions practiced by contemporary Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest. Visit the Longhouse and see how cultural practices grow and change over time from generation to generation. In partnership with the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe.

Summer Write!

Enjoy a summertime snack and keep up your writing skills with author and writing teacher Margaret Nevinski. We’ll write stories and poems from our own imaginations in this two-day workshop. Grades 3-6.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover!

Bring your stuffed animal friends to the library for a night to remember! Enjoy a storytime in your pajamas together and bid adieu to your stuffie for a night of fun and wonderment. You can pick up your stuffed friend the following day from their sleepover at the library. 

Fairy House Workshop

  Children are invited to come create natural and inviting homes for fairies around the library grounds with gardener Ann Lovejoy. Space is limited, sign up starts June 1st. Register online or call 206-842-4162.  Ages 6 and up who are comfortable working independently.

Baby Wearing Dance

Bond with your baby through dancing at the library! Please bring your own baby carrier. Modifications can be made for parents without baby carriers. 

Baby Storytime

Nurture your baby's mind with songs, rhymes, stories and games at the library's baby group. Reading and playing together promotes language acquisition and a love of books to last a lifetime.
