Apply in Person
Visit your favorite Kitsap Regional Library branch to apply in person. Provide a photo ID and proof of address to get your new library card from the front desk.
Apply Online (Kitsap County Residents Only)
Apply online for instant access to downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, digital magazines, and expansive research databases. Visit your favorite branch and request your physical card at the front desk with a photo ID and proof of address to gain access to the entire collection.
If your library card is lost or stolen, report it immediately by calling one of our locations or connecting with us online, and we will assist you in getting a new card.
You are responsible for all materials checked out on your account until you declare your card is missing and have a stop placed on your account. Once a stop has been placed on your account, your card number will no longer provide access to library resources.
Skip the line and check out with our mobile app!
- Open the Kitsap Regional Library app. Click the Checkout button (shopping cart icon) to begin the process.
- On the Checkout screen, scan the Kitsap Regional Library barcode of the item using your device's camera. You can also type the barcode using the Enter Item Barcode (keyboard icon) at the top right of the screen.
- After scanning an item, you can Check Out Item or add the item to your For Later shelf.
- As items are checked out to you, they are added to the Items Checked Out screen. From there, you can confirm items you've checked out and view due dates.
- Tap Finish to complete the checkout process.
If you have multiple accounts, switch between any accounts that have been added to the app from the Self-Checkout screen. Tap the "i icon" at the top right of the screen, and the preferred account can be selected. The item will be checked out to this account.
Please be aware that the following iPhones are presently experiencing occasional issues with the app's scanning feature:
- iPhone 13 Mini
- iPhone 13 Pro
- iPhone 14 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro
Our app developer continues to investigate this issue and work on a solution.
